Directions
From St Just, follow the road to Cape Cornwall.
Turn right down the track opposite the entrance to Cape Cornwall Club (the golf club).
Continue down this unmade rack with the Porthledden House wall on your left.
You might think you’re about to drive off the cliff, but Wheal Call’s chimney pots will appear to reassure you!

There is parking for two cars on the track above the cottage.
The track leading to the property may not be suitable for low vehicles. Care must be taken when driving there, particularly in wet weather.
If you are unsure of the track in poor weather, Annie and Peter who run the National Trust car park on the Cape, know Wheal Call well and will always let you park there for a small donation to the Trust.
Please be very considerate of our neighbours when driving down the track and do not loiter outside their bungalow – the track does go straight on to the cottage and you will soon see our two chimneys appearing above the undergrowth!
Please also remember that the track is also a bridleway and forms part of the South West Coast Path for walkers and horse riders. Please park close to the steps and always leave enough space for emergency vehicles, riders and the rubbish collection truck to pass.
“This place is stunning! We stayed last year in the summer. The view from the cottage is stunning. Sitting kn the bench in the morning looking over the sea watching the seals was just amazing. Lovely walks from the cottage, lots to explore. Caleb recommended visiting the rock pool and after visiting I would recommend it too (as long as your steady on your feet!!). There is one thing I didn’t like about wheel call…..and that was leaving! Thank you for renting ouf this beauty. We had an amazing time! Xx”

“We stayed here many years and had a magical week away with no distraction from any invasive technology and its associated noise! This really is a unique cottage, its commanding position means the views are quite simply one of the best you will find in a coastal property. This is the view and position other cottages want you to believe they have, but in reality it’s never the same as the pictures. Wheal Call is the opposite of this, its truly a magical place. The night sky is inky black with a billion stars and a soundtrack of crashing waves. In the day we walked along the coastal path a d in the evening we chilled in front of the fire listening to the waves and a ticking clock. Bliss! We will be going back but this time we will take our daughter and our two dogs.”
