Bosavern Community Farm Shop

Bosavern Community Farm is situated on the outskirts of St Just.  Originally, it was owned by the council, but, when they put it up for sale about 15 years ago, the local community rallied together. With the help from Lottery money, the community bought the farm and now run it as not-for-profit social enterprise. It comprises 36 acres of land with 7 acres under cultivation (with a new field about to be cultivated by local allotment holders) and some for hay. It has 6 poly tunnels, a fruit cage and raised beds.

The farm grows fresh vegetables using organic principles according to the Wholesome Food Association guidelines. It has several beehives producing Cornish Black Bee honey and about 320 free-ranging chickens (for the sale of eggs).

Our farm shop sells their fresh vegetables, herbs, salad leaves and eggs, as well as lots of local produce such as bread, milk, cheeses, jams, chutney, honey and organic dried goods such as pasta, rice, lentils and flour.

They also deliver a weekly veg box scheme, and sell their produce in the Sennen Farmers’ market and to nearby pubs, cafés and restaurants.

“We couldn’t hope for a better wedding and honeymoon at Wheal Call! Thank you, Caroline and Caleb for helping us, everything has turned out to be perfect on a special day.

The week spent here has also been the best gift – lots of walking along the coast path, lots of reading, staring at the ocean and laughing! Best start of our life as husband and wife. We really do hope to be back in the future”

“Having walked past this beautiful cottage for years and dreamt of staying here, we finally made it.

And what a weekend to experience it through Storm Darragh – just incredible! Thank you for letting us share your beautiful home.”

Dec 2024

“This blew us away! The cottage was immaculately clean, really well clipped, and so remote that it was great fun shouting and screaming for no other reason than we just could! Having not one but two wood burners was a real treat for a pyromaniac and his wife! Amazing Sunday roast at the Queen’s Arms, Botallack. Really enjoyed the tour at Levant mine, Paul is at the heart strings and makes you appreciate what an easy life we have in comparison to those poor old minors.”
