The cottage sleeps up to 4 people.
Wheal Call is full of character with exposed beams, wooden floors, granite walls and wood-burning stoves to enchant you almost as much as the view.
It might lack certain modern technological conveniences, but is cosy and warm with additional, fitted night storage heaters to compliment the two wood burning stoves, a modern kitchen and a walk-in, mains pressure shower!

Here is a walk through of the cottage for you to see all the accommodation space.
Starting at the porch entrance, we walk through to the Sitting Room with its cosy sofas, wood burning stove, night-storage heater and plentiful supply of board games and jigsaws.
On through to the Kitchen and the Day/Dining room with another wood burning stove, night-storage heaters, large dining table, comfy Mozart chairs and bookcase.
Up the stairs we find the Master Bedroom with its triple aspect windows with our gorgeous views.
Across the landing and into the Bathroom with its walk-in, mains-pressure shower, heated towel rail and lighted mirror.
Finally we come to the Second Bedroom with two comfortable single beds. Each bedroom has a night-storage heater to keep you warm.
The Day/Dining Room
The day room/dining room is furnished with armchairs, a bureau/writing desk, a bookcase, a wood burning stove, a large dining table and chairs, a night storage heater and has a window to the spectacular sea views.
The Sitting Room
The Sitting room has two sofas, a coffee table and another wood burning stove with an additional night storage heater.
There are windows to the front and rear of the room.
Please note, smoking is strictly prohibited inside the cottage and will result in the immediate termination of occupancy and forfeiture of all payments. Likewise, candles must not be used inside the premises. Thank you!
Clearview Wood Burning Stoves
The cottage has two very efficient wood burning stoves to keep you warm. They are situated in the sitting room and day/dining room.
They are supplied with two full baskets of kiln dried beech logs, kindling and fire starters from October to May. Further supplies of wood can be purchased from St Just.
The Kitchen
The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, electric heater, table and stools and a large larder fridge/freezer.
We provide tea towels, an oven cloth, washing up liquid, cleaning fluid and cloths.
The stairs lead from the day room to the first floor landing, bedrooms and bathroom.
The Master Bedroom
The Master Bedroom, has a superking-sized double bed, electric night storage heater, a chest of drawers and a cupboard with hanging space.
The bed has a sumptuous, quilted topper on the mattress, two pillows per person, two single duvets and two bed throws. All bed linen is provided.
The room is large and light and has wonderful panoramic views with windows on three sides.
The second, Twin Bedroom
Bedroom Two has twin beds, a chest of drawers and cupboard with hanging space, and an electric night storage heater…
..and those sea views again.
The Bathroom
The bathroom has a walk-in, mains powered shower, heated towel rail and a small step up to the WC and basin.
Each guest is provided with a bath towel. Please bring your own beach towels.
The bathroom is equipped with a hand towel and bath mat and complimentary bar of soap. Please bring your own shampoo & conditioner.
Books, Games and Jigsaws to amuse
There are lots of books, board games, puzzles and jigsaws to keep you amused. Who needs the TV when you can sit down and get back into Monopoly and Risk or try new games out like Carcasonne and family favourites like Blockus.
Exterior
The moment you arrive at Wheal Call the specialness of its location will become a reality and you will start to relax, mind, body and soul.
There are 13 uneven steps down from the South West Coast Path to the courtyard and garden to Wheal Call. A sturdy handrail follows you down one side and it is always advisable to make use of it!
The courtyard has an outside toilet, an outside tap for washing off the sand and hosing down the dog, and a washing line.
The garden is a natural cliff-top garden to the front and side. There is a patio area at the side with garden furniture, benches and a built in BBQ.
The Front and the famous Bench
The garden is not enclosed and does drop away quite steeply onto heathland at the front. For this, and other reasons, the cottage is not deemed safe for small children and we therefore do not allow any children under 8 years of age to stay at the cottage. Likewise, untrained or naughty dogs are not allowed.
The courtyard has an outside toilet, an outside tap for washing off the sand and hosing down the dog, and a washing line.
The downstairs is entered via a rear porch with security gate into the day room/dining area with doors off to the kitchen and sitting room and stairs up to first floor.

Take a tour of the decent down the steps from the South West Coast Path to the courtyard and porch.
Then, passing the side patio with its seating and built in bbq, wonder round to the front of the cottage.
Here you’ll feel completely private and you can relax on the iconic bench and let your eyes wander over our stunning views of Porthledden Bay below, Cape Cornwall and the Kenidjack headland.
Parking and the track
There is parking for two cars on the track above the cottage.
The track leading to the property may not be suitable for low vehicles. Care must be taken when driving there, particularly in wet weather.
If you are unsure of the track in poor weather, Annie and Peter who run the National Trust car park on the Cape know Wheal Call well and will always let you park there for a small donation to the Trust if you are not members.
